Hose for low-pressure, high-volume operations

Published:  20 June, 2017

New hose is the first ‘true internal diameter’ hose specifically designed for front-line, heavy-duty firefighting.

At the core of the Tru-ID hose is what the manufacturer describes as a ‘true internal diameter’ of 1.75" (4.4cm) or 2.50" (6.3cm) which, according to Hose Key director Doug Bonney, ‘sets new standards for ergonomic, lighter weight, higher quality, double-jacketed attack lines. ‘

The technology lowers the overall weight of the hose by eliminating additional water found in oversized attack lines, thus reducing firefighter fatigue.

Virtually kink resistant, Tru-ID hand lines are designed for use with low-pressure/high-volume nozzles and are built to reduce hose whip and optimise friction loss.

On the outside, Key’s double-jacket construction enhances flexibility while offering higher abrasion and puncture resistance for dependability on scene.

The hose comes standard with lightweight, laser-engraved, extruded-aluminium alloy couplings. These anodised, threaded expansion ring couplings are guaranteed by the manufacturer for the life of the hose.
