Over 80 global tank storage experts confirmed for Congress at the Third Annual Tank World Expo in Dubai

Published:  07 January, 2015

FOR YOUR DIARY: The leaders of the global tank storage industry are preparing to visit Dubai for two days of expert strategic congress, CEO insight, practical case studies, in-depth discussion, technology launches and networking at Tank World Expo April 13-14 2015.

The original and largest show for the tank storage industry in the region supported by the UAE Ministry of Energy continues to increase in size, as does the co-located Tank World Congress which has already 80+ confirmed speakers.

It is not only the most well attended congress on tank storage globally but also features more speakers than any other show with a host of global experts representing facilities, terminals and ports in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Spain, India, Africa plus exhibitors based in over 15 different countries across three continents.

The congress has been created by an advisory board of industry experts that include Saudi Aramco, DP World, ENOC, and Fujairah Port amongst others, and who have identified a number of key trends, opportunities and challenges for the industry that will be addressed at the event.

The C-Level Congress brings together CEOs and Executive Directors from Terminals, Ports and Free Zones to discuss key strategic issues including attracting investment, expanding terminal capacity, exploiting growth opportunity and delivering enhanced profitability.

The strategic Congress includes high-level presentations such as: ‘Delivering growth to increase terminal capacity’ (H.E. Sharief Habib Al Awadhi, Director General and CEO, Fujairah Free Zone); ‘Building independent terminals to meet demand’ (Dipo Salimonu, CEO, Moteriba Terminals); ‘Collaborating successfully to ensure growth’ (David Gledhill, CEO, Port of Salalah); and ‘Developing and efficient model for port operations’ (Josep Andreu i Figueras, CEO, Port of Tarragona).

Tank World Expo Managing Director Alex Williamson commented: ‘Following the huge growth that we experienced in 2014, it is a strong indication of the importance of this event for the industry that we have confirmed such a huge number of global experts to speak in our Tank World executive Congress. It’s the only event that brings global expert speakers, visitors and exhibitors from across the entire tank storage value chain to one location and with Dubai at the heart of the global oil and petrochemical industry it is the perfect venue. Attendance at Tank World has become essential for the industry and we look forward to welcome 3000+ visitors to the Dubai World Trade Centre in April.’

None of this strategic insight would be available without the required technology and in addition the Congress, Tank World has a wide array of on-floor Innovation Zone Presentations focussing on key aspects of tank storage best practice including optimisation, automation, safety, integration, inspection and environmental protection.

In addition to the Congress and Innovation Zone Presentations, the Expo will feature over 100 cutting-edge companies displaying the latest technologies, solutions and innovations for the industry.

Key sellers who exhibit at the show include: engineering & construction companies, automation solution providers, tank manufactures and safety companies, cleaning and maintenance experts, fire protection companies, training providers and much more.
