Greek Fire and Rescue Service purchase 105 thermal imaging cameras.

Published:  15 August, 2014

Manufacturer ISG Infrasys’ Greek partner wins tender to supply ISG E-Series E380 thermal imaging cameras.

This order is the biggest single investment in new fire equipment the Greek authorities have made this year, said ISG. ‘Our E380 cameras will provide Greek firefighters with a level of situational awareness unmatched by any other related technology,’ said Andy Slater, ISG UKs GM & Sales Director. ‘Our Greek partners Evrelko SA have done a fantastic job of highlighting the advantages of using advanced thermal imaging from ISG, I am pleased to say that after extensive testing of other thermal cameras on offer, our E380 excelled in the tests and was declared the camera of choice.’

According to ISG, its E-Series has been designed to provide remarkable image quality – its unique clarity with high-resolution imagery and full-size LCD are all housed inside a lightweight and compact system.

A key differentiator of ISG is that the company manufactures its own imaging modules (cores), which are specially constructed for firefighting. ‘This offers several unique benefits that are instrumental in providing an image quality superior to every other thermal camera available, it allows ISG to better contain service and maintenance costs, plus it gives ISG the unique ability to provide future upgrade ability on all their cameras, future proofing customers’ investments.’

The Greek Fire and Rescue service will receive their new ISG cameras in October.
