Tomorrow at the Offshore Europe 2011 Media Centre, Managing Director of the company’s newest European arm, will showcase the company’s dedicated emergency well response system designed to contain major subsea blowouts.
The Global Subsea Well Containment System (GSWCS) offers the international oil and gas industry the only globally available purpose-built and ready-to-deploy subsea containment and emergency response system to industry. Wild Well Control has invested approximately $37- 40 million in the GSWCS to offer customers in Europe, Africa and the Middle East better support.
Wild Well Control’s GSWCS has four integral elements that contribute to successful well containment which include well capping, subsea containment, debris removal, and subsea dispersant; these elements offer “critical missing pieces” for well capping and containment to the industry. The elements were designed and packaged based on recent experiences in the Gulf of Mexico.
Minister Charles Hendry MP launched the equipment on Tuesday 6 September and welcomed Wild Well Control and the GSWCS to the UK.
